DJI Mavic 3 Pro

The Mavic 3 Pro is the first DJI consumer drone to carry three cameras that are each worth using, and that is the whole reason to buy one. Most drones give you a single wide lens and a digital crop that falls apart the moment you push it. This one gives you three real focal lengths in the air, so you reframe a shot by switching lenses instead of flying the aircraft somewhere else.

The three cameras

• Hasselblad 4/3 CMOS, 24mm equivalent — 20MP stills with Hasselblad Natural Colour Solution, adjustable f/2.8–f/11 aperture, 12.8 stops of dynamic range.
• 70mm medium tele, 1/1.3-inch sensor — 48MP, the lens most people end up living on. Compresses a scene the way a portrait lens does.
• 166mm tele, 1/2-inch sensor — reaches across a site or a shoreline without moving the aircraft, which matters when you cannot legally or safely fly closer.

In the air

Up to 43 minutes of flight per battery, omnidirectional obstacle sensing, and O3+ transmission with a 1080p/60fps feed that holds up at distance. Waypoint flight and Cruise Control make repeatable shots repeatable, which is what separates a paid job from a hobby flight.
