What You Will Notice on the Pocket 4
- The battery. DJI's rating goes from 166 to 240 minutes. In real 4K filming that's roughly an extra hour, which is the difference between covering a whole wedding reception and running out before the cake.
- No memory card panic. 107GB is built in. You won't arrive at a shoot and discover the card is full or left at home.
- Photos you'll actually post. The Pocket 3's 9.4MP stills were an afterthought. At 37MP, the Pocket 4 can replace your phone for event photos too.
- Smoother slow motion. 4K at 240fps gives you 8x slow motion without dropping to 1080p. Dance content, sports and B-roll look noticeably better.
- Buttons you can feel. The new zoom button and second control button mean fewer taps on a small screen while filming.
What You Won't Notice
The lens is the same 20mm f/2.0, and the screen is still 2 inches and still rotates to switch between horizontal and vertical. If you post to TikTok and Instagram at phone brightness, your everyday walk-and-talk footage will look very similar on both cameras. The Pocket 3 was already excellent at this, which is why it's still everywhere.
Which One Should You Buy?
Buy the Pocket 4 (₦858,800) if you film long events, want to take photos as well as video, or shoot slow motion. The battery and built-in storage alone make it the easier camera to live with, and it's the newest model, so it'll get DJI's software updates for longer.
Buy the Pocket 3 Creator Combo (₦853,800) if you need a wireless mic and your budget stops here. The Creator Combo includes a DJI Mic 2 transmitter that connects straight to the camera, plus a battery handle that makes up some of the battery gap. Buying a Pocket 4 and adding a DJI Mic Mini (₦344,800) costs about ₦1,203,600. For talking-head content where clear audio matters more than slow motion, the Pocket 3 Creator Combo is still the best-value kit on the shelf.

- You're carrying a phone just to take photos.
