Description
Description
The Mavic Mini's entire argument is its weight: 249 grams, which is roughly a phone and a half. That number decides where you can realistically fly, how casually you can pack it, and whether it lives in your bag or in a cupboard. Most drones end up in the cupboard.
Camera and flight
- 2.7K/30fps video and 12MP stills on a 1/2.3-inch sensor
- Three-axis mechanical gimbal — the reason the footage looks stable instead of merely smoothed in software
- Up to 30 minutes per battery
- Enhanced Wi-Fi transmission with a range measured in kilometres, controlled from the DJI Fly app on your phone
- GPS and downward vision positioning for a steady hover and return-to-home
What it will and will not do
It will give you clean establishing shots, smooth QuickShot moves like Dronie and Helix, and stills good enough for a listing or a feed. It will not shoot 4K, it has no side or forward obstacle sensors, and it gets pushed around by strong wind — respect the weather, fly it in the calm of early morning, and it behaves.
Who should buy it
First-time pilots who do not want to crash four hundred thousand naira into a tree. Content creators who need aerials occasionally rather than professionally. Travellers who will actually carry it. If drone work is your income, look at the Mavic 3 Pro instead — we stock it and will tell you plainly which one your work needs.
Flying commercially in Nigeria requires NCAA authorisation regardless of aircraft weight, so sort permits before any paid job. Genuine DJI unit, tested before it leaves us, with Lagos pickup or delivery nationwide.
