Signs your iPhone 14 Pro Max needs a new battery

  • Settings > Battery > Battery Health shows below 80%, or says "Service"
  • It shuts down at 20–30%, or dies before evening on a normal day
  • It slows down or gets hot doing simple things
  • The screen is lifting at the edge. That means a swollen battery: stop charging it and bring it in

Signs your iPhone 14 Pro Max needs a new screen

  • Cracked glass, even if the phone still works. Cracks spread and let in moisture
  • Green or pink lines, black spots, or a patch of the display that stays dark
  • Touch stops responding in one area, or the phone taps by itself

Repair or sell?

The iPhone 14 Pro Max still gets iOS updates, so a new battery or screen usually buys it years more use for far less than a replacement phone. If you would rather upgrade, check its trade-in value.
